Sentura has donated 1500 packs of Lindt Chocolates to the patients and staff at hospitals in Leicester through the Leicester Hospitals Charity.

The Leicester Hospitals Charity works to help make the Leicester Royal Infirmary, the Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital even better for patients, visitors, and staff.

Gareth Aston – Head of Fundraising Leicester Hospitals Charity said: ‘Thank you so much to everyone at Sentura Group for your amazing donation of the 1500 Lindt Chocolates. These will go directly to the staff and patients currently on the front line battling against COVID-19. Your generous gift will put much needed smiles on faces who continue a relentless fight against the pandemic’.

Managing Director Laurie Pollard commented; ‘We are very pleased to be able to show our support for our local hospitals in Leicester.  We had the chocolate in stock to give to our customers but as many of these have been closed during the lockdown, we had a lot left over and thought we would donate them to a good cause instead.  We hope that they will brighten the day a little for the patients and staff in hospitals at this difficult time’.

This is the second time the company has donated chocolate treats to hospitals. Earlier in the year it gave 1000 chocolate Easter bunnies to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, one of its chosen charities for 2020.
